I decided to make this scarf for my friend and ex-colleague Ali as a leaving gift. That was back in Sept, unfortunately due to my super slow knitting skills she has left, worked on more than 2 jobs, had her birthday and Christmas and it’s still not quite done! BUT it’s so nearly finished that I feel ready to add it to my projects, just the tassels to go!
I decided to use a 4 ply yarn instead of the recommended DK as I really wanted a more narrow scarf, as Ali is a sophisticated lady and his would suit her much better! My colour-way was inspired by another friends checked shirt, I knew the colours would work perfectly when I saw them all together and was lucky enough to find them on my first ever trip to I Knit, in Waterloo..yey!
